Compressed Natural Gas CNG Facts

O-Tex Pumping is the industry leader in converting cementing equipment to use a CNG, dual fuel system and is in the process of converting the entire fleet.

Natural gas has been used in vehicles since World War II.

Natural gas powers more than 12 million vehicles worldwide, but only about 250,000 of them are in the United States.

There are about 500 public CNG filling stations in the U.S., with more under construction and planned every day.

Major corporations and governments including AT&T, DFW International Airport, Disneyland Resorts the National Park Service and UPS have made the move to CNG to lower fuel costs and emissions.

Natural gas is safer because it is lighter than air, meaning any leaks will quickly dissipate instead of pooling on the ground like gasoline and creating a fire risk.

There are numerous resources for finding CNG stations, best prices and vehicle savings and conversion information.
